UK Ruminant Antibiotic Stewardship Roadmap

Your Voice Matters

Responsible antibiotic stewardship isn’t just good practice; it’s essential for protecting animal health, safeguarding our export markets, and tackling the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance.

The AMAST Network is working with Researchers from the Royal Veterinary College, with RCVS Knowledge, and the sheep and cattle antibiotic guardian groups, to develop the UK Ruminant Antibiotic Stewardship Roadmap, a practical plan to improve how antibiotic use is recorded, monitored, and shared across UK farms.

Who Should Take Part?

If you’re a farmer, vet, or anyone involved in antimicrobial use in the sheep and cattle sector, this survey is for you. Whether you’re running a small hill farm or advising across multiple holdings, your perspective matters.

You must be UK-resident and over 18 to participate.

What’s Involved?

The online survey takes just 10–20 minutes to complete. You’ll be asked about your current practices around antibiotic data and your views on how the industry can best demonstrate responsible use.

All responses are completely anonymous.

As a token of appreciation, completing the survey can enter you into a prize draw for one of two £100 vouchers, for use at your local agricultural store or towards the BCVA or SVS conference.
