UKHSA Survey on AMR and HCAI Surveillance

The United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is conducting a survey to assess the impact and effectiveness of their AMR and HCAI surveillance outputs. This initiative directly supports the UK’s AMR National Action Plan 2024–2029 and presents a valuable opportunity for the community to influence how critical surveillance data is collected, presented, and disseminated.

What’s Being Evaluated?

The survey covers a wide range of UKHSA surveillance resources, including:

  • Fingertips indicators
  • Bacterial and fungal incidence data
  • Surgical site and bloodstream infection reports
  • ICU reports
  • ESPAUR (English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance) report
  • CPE (Carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae) surveillance
  • UKHSA AMR dashboard
  • And many other surveillance outputs

Why Your Input Matters

UKHSA aims to use survey findings to:

  • Improve accessibility of surveillance data and resources
  • Enhance content quality and relevance
  • Better present information to meet diverse user needs
  • Assess the real-world impact of current surveillance efforts
  • Support broader public health initiatives in AMR prevention
